Users can now choose multi-year registration periods of up to 10 years for supported domains directly at checkout. This improvement simplifies domain management by decreasing the frequency of renewals and providing greater flexibility during the purchase process.
How It Works
1. When buying a domain, users click BUY next to their chosen domain.
2. A confirmation popup will show a "Pricing Option" dropdown menu.
3. Users can select a registration term from 1 to 10 years, depending on TLD availability.
4. The default selection is 1 year for most domains.
5. Certain domains, like .ai, may have a different default term.
6. The final price updates dynamically based on the selected term.
7. Once confirmed, the domain is registered for the chosen period, and the wallet is charged accordingly.
Why This Matters
• Fewer Renewals: Minimize the administrative burden of annual renewals.• Brand Stability: Secure domains for the long term to maintain brand continuity.
• Proactive Management: Perfect for long-term projects and business operations.
Important Notes
• Most TLDs allow registrations for up to 10 years.
• The .co family (.co, .com, .co, .net, .nom) permits a maximum of 5 years.
• If a domain's renewal price differs from its registration price, it can only be registered for 1 year upon initial purchase.
