Social Planner has introduced a new feature allowing users to request reviews and feedback on their social media posts from other team members before publication.
How to Begin with Post Review Workflow
To start using this feature, navigate to Marketing > Social Planner and click the New Post button to create a new post.
Post Review Process: Scheduling for Approval
After crafting your post with text, media, hashtags, and other elements, you can schedule it for review and approval. Learn more about Social Posting by clicking here.
Set a date and time for the post to go live.
Select a team member to review and approve the post.
Add any internal notes for the reviewer’s reference.
Once ready, click to send the post for approval.
Confirmation Email
The assigned reviewer will receive an email notification once the post is submitted for review.
Reviewer Actions in the Approval Tab
The reviewer can access the post in the Approval tab. Here, they can either view, approve, or reject the post. By clicking on View, the reviewer can see the full details of the post and decide whether to approve or reject it. The reviewer also has the ability to make content edits before approving it.
Once the post is approved, it will be scheduled to go live in the social media calendar. If the post is rejected, the creator will receive feedback or comments from the reviewer.
Customizing Post Approval Email Templates
To personalize the approval notification emails, navigate to Marketing > Emails > Templates > New > Email Marketing Templates. This leads to the Template Library, where you can locate System Templates > Social Planner: Post Approval. From here, you can modify the template as needed.
Applying an Email Template for Post Approval
Once the email template is ready, it can be assigned to the post approval workflow in Social Planner Settings > Notifications. Simply select the newly created email template for the approval notification.
Approving Multiple Posts via CSV
For bulk post approvals, create a CSV file and upload it by clicking New Post. After adding the CSV and selecting the relevant social media platforms, you can designate a reviewer for the bulk posts.
Once the CSV is imported, the posts will be sent to the chosen approver for review. After they are approved, the posts will automatically be scheduled.
This complete workflow simplifies how teams collaborate and manage social media post approvals, making it easier to ensure that content is reviewed before being shared publicly.
