To get started with publishing new content on Twitter, simply click the "New Post" button, found in the top-right corner of your page. Alternatively, at the bottom of your posts list, there's a "Create New Post" link. You have the option to create a post from scratch, upload a CSV file, or leverage the power of Content AI to assist in post creation.
Social Media Post Creation
Where to Post: Begin by selecting Twitter as the platform where you'd like to share your content.
Create Your Content: Write your message in the designated content box. Include text, rich media, hashtags, images, and even videos. You can format your text with bold or italics, and once you're satisfied, press Publish.
Preview Your Post: Review your content before posting to ensure everything looks exactly how you want.
Saving as a Draft
If you’re not quite ready to post yet, no worries! You can save your draft and return to it later.
Publishing Your Post
When you're ready, hit Post. You’ll be presented with three options:
1. Post Now: Immediately share your post on the selected social media accounts.
2. Schedule Post: Choose a future date and time for your post to go live.
3. Send for Approval: Forward the post for review within your organization. Select an approver, include any necessary notes, and set the date and time for review.
If you need to remove a post, simply use the Delete button. Note: this action is permanent!
Uploading Posts via CSV
You can also upload posts using a CSV file. After clicking the New Post button, select Upload from CSV to navigate to the CSV upload page. Make sure your CSV file meets the following specifications:
Date Format: Use the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss (24-hour time, e.g., 2025/05/23 20:15).
Text Column: Captions and hashtags go here.
Link Column: This field accepts a single link in OG meta tag format.
Image/Video Column: You can add multiple images and videos, separated by commas, or a single GIF.
The maximum number of posts per CSV file is 90.
Approving and Scheduling CSV Posts
After uploading your CSV file, select the social channels where you want to post. Assign an approver, who will then review and approve the posts. Once approved, they will be scheduled for publishing on your social media calendar.
Twitter Post Requirements
When posting on Twitter, there are a few guidelines to follow:
Images:
You can add up to 4 images per post.
The image file should be between 10 KB and 5 MB.
The minimum resolution is 250x250 pixels.
Images should be relevant to your post or product.
Videos:
Video size should also be between 10 KB and 5 MB.
The resolution must be at least 250x250 pixels.
Supported aspect ratios range from 4:5 to 16:9.
Each post can include up to 10 videos.
You cannot combine different media types (e.g., images and videos) in the same post. If you need to use mixed media, consider using Instagram instead, which allows for this.
Content Length and Formatting
The character limit for Twitter is 280 characters. Take advantage of bold, italics, emojis, hashtags, and custom values to make your post stand out.
Note: Mixed media types are not allowed in a single Twitter post. You will need to select either images, GIFs, or videos for each post, or switch to an Instagram account to accommodate various media formats.
