Simplified Pinterest Posting Guide with Social Planner

With the help of your Social Planner, posting to Pinterest has become easier than ever! Whether you want to create new content or upload pre-made posts, this tool helps organize your content and boost your brand’s visibility.

Creating a New Post


1. Start from ScratchClick the “New Post” button at the top right of your screen, then choose “Create New Post.” You can also use the link at the bottom of your post list to create a new one.

2. Select Pinterest: Choose Pinterest as the social platform where you’ll be posting your content.

3. Compose Your Content: Write your caption, including hashtags, or let the AI assist by clicking the robot icon. You can also add creative touches with bold or italic text.

4. Add Media: Pinterest posts require at least one image or video. To add this, click the picture frame or video camera icon. You can either upload from your media library or use AI to generate the content.

5. Add Post Details: Create a post title (up to 100 characters), include any relevant links, and choose which Pinterest board the post will appear on.

6. Create a Board: If you don’t already have a board, you can make one using the “Add Board” option in the dropdown menu. For public posts, make sure the board isn’t locked.

7. Preview: Before you publish, review your post to make sure everything looks right.

8. Publish: When you’re satisfied, hit the “Post” button. You’ll then be prompted to choose your next step.

And that’s it! Your Pin is ready for Pinterest.


Uploading Posts Using a CSV File

If you have multiple posts ready, you can upload them all at once using a CSV file. This method lets you schedule up to 90 posts in one go.

1. Upload from CSVStart by clicking the "New Post" button and selecting the "Upload from CSV" option to go to the upload page.

2. Format Your CSV File: Make sure your CSV file follows the proper format. You can download a sample file as a template.

Key formatting rules:

  • Dates should be in YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm
    format, using the 24-hour clock.
  • The “Text” column is for captions and hashtags.
  • In the “Link” column, use an OG meta tag to insert a single link.
  • The “Image” and “Video” columns can accept multiple entries separated by commas, but only one GIF is supported.


1. Select Socials: After uploading your CSV file, choose the platforms where you want to post, and if necessary, assign an approver.

2. Review and Schedule: Once you process the CSV, posts need approval (if an approver was selected). After approval, they will be scheduled on your social calendar.
