WordPress Plugin Troubleshooter

Modified on Wed, 13 Aug at 5:18 AM

We’ve introduced the WordPress Plugin Troubleshooter – an in-dashboard, guided tool designed to help users quickly identify and resolve plugin conflicts without needing support intervention.
Key capabilities:
  • Automatically scans all active plugins.
  • Iteratively disables/enables them to isolate the culprit causing site issues.
  • Friendly, step-by-step UI powered by Detective Bandit to guide the user.
  • One-click deactivation of the faulty plugin once identified.
  • Works even when the site is partially broken, including scenarios like the White Screen of Death (WSOD).

Who Is This For?
  • Account users managing multiple client sites.
  • Freelancers and small business owners managing their own WordPress installations.
  • Support teams (indirect benefit through reduced plugin-related tickets).
User Flow
  • User visits a
    broken site
    .
  • Clicks
    “Troubleshoot Site”
     in the Hosting Dashboard.

     onboarding screen appears.
  • User selects symptoms or page affected.
  • User
    marks any required plugins
     that must stay active.
  • System
    tests plugins in batches
, checking if the site is fixed at each step.
  • When culprit is found →
plugin is displayed with option “Deactivate it for me”
    .
  • Plugin is deactivated, site restored
, and user returned to the dashboard.
Impact

  • Most conflicts resolved in minutes vs. hours/days.
  • Users can self-diagnose and fix issues immediately.
