Modified on Thu, 19 Jun at 7:11 AM

Starting July 1, 2025, WhatsApp has officially moved from conversation-based pricing to a per-message pricing model — giving you more clarity, control, and cost-efficiency in how you communicate with your customers.

What’s New?
With message-based pricing, you’ll now be charged:
Per delivered marketing template message
Per delivered utility message (only if sent outside a customer service window)
Even better — utility messages sent within an open customer service window are now completely free.

Why It Matters
This change means you pay only for what you send, not for a full 24-hour conversation block. It enables more flexible, streamlined messaging — especially for support and transaction updates — without unnecessary charges.
Key Benefits
Pay-As-You-Send Clarity
Transparent, itemized billing based on each message sent — no more guessing how conversations are counted.
Smarter Rebilling for Accounts
Easily pass through message-level costs to clients with detailed reporting for better margin control.
Free Support Messaging
Respond to customer-initiated chats with utility templates for free within the 24-hour window.
