Toll Free Number Verification - EIN Requirement Removed

What's New?


Toll-Free Numbers no longer require an EIN or any form of business registration number for SMS verification.


In the Account settings under > Phone Numbers > Manage Numbers, you will notice a "Verification Required" icon. Clicking on that will lead you to the verification flow, as demonstrated above.


In the previous process, users were required to provide an EIN number as shown below: 



However, the new process does not require an EIN:  


The remainder of the user journey remains unchanged. 
At the end, users will need to complete KYC verification if they haven't done so already.

What This Update Enables:

• All users can complete Toll-Free verification without needing a business tax ID. 
• The new process lowers the barrier for all users, particularly sole proprietors. 
• Selective KYC verification ensures platform security without overburdening legitimate users.
